Some of my favourite Northern Beaches
Family and Pet Photography Locations

Wooden Hut

Long Reef Headland

What a stunning location for family photos. There are so many opportunities here and it is usually fairly quiet so photoshoots are relaxed and uninterrupted.

You have the choice of beach and surf images, rocks and cliff faces, grass and dune photos, interesting pathways and even a mangrove forest style shoot. The views are spectacular.

North Narrabeen Rock Pools

Another spectacular spot with rock pools, beach and surf options, boardwalks, rocky outcrops. Fantastic for early morning photos to get that beautiful golden sunlight and sunrise photos.

Wooden Hut

Turrimetta Beach

With a beautiful isolated beach, rock platforms, cliff faces, amazing walkway to get down to the beach and endless opportunities for amazing photos, Turrimetta Beach is an ideal location for family photos. Be warned though, this has quite a long downhill walk to the beach and a somewhat tiring walk back up. The reward is worth it though.

Curl Curl Boardwalk

The views along this walkway are just amazing. There are a few levels that can be used at this location. There is a rock platform below to create some different looks with cliff backdrops, turbulent surf backdrops and spectacular early morning ocean view sunrise shots. Late afternoon also creates beautiful hues and tones for soft gorgeous portraits.

Wooden Hut

Davidson National Park

Not really on the beaches but a gorgeous spot for photos none the less. If you are after something that is in more of a park setting with water views, gum trees and scenic bush walks, then this is perfect for family photos. Unfortunately pets are not allowed.

Bring along a picnic and relax after your photoshoot beside the water.

Rosherville Reserve

A great location for family and pet photos. It is right beside a narrow beach on the spit waterway, so the water is completely calm. Dogs can run freely in this park and it is quite a large open area with beautiful trees interspersed  throughout so there has some great options for photos.
